Christine Baker Joins Sims Resource Renewal as General Manager

SYDNEY– Sims Resource Renewal is pleased to share the recent appointment of our new General Manager Christine Baker.

Christine joins Sims Resource Renewal with 25 years of experience as an engineer and leader in the chemical and oil and gas sectors. She will lead the development and growth of Sims Resource Renewal, driving the business through feasibility, technology development and project delivery stages, towards our purpose: create a world without waste to preserve our planet.

“This is a very exciting time for Sims Resource Renewal as we progress to the operations stage of our demonstration plant, and continue plans for our first commercial facilities,” said Christine in commenting upon her appointment. “It is fantastic to be part of such a critical initiative for Sims Limited in support of our purpose: create a world without waste to preserve our planet, and to lead such a highly capable team.”

Prior to joining Sims, Christine had a 20-year career at ExxonMobil where she held several roles, starting as a process engineer and project manager before assuming increasing responsibilities in engineering, operations, safety, product optimisation and long-range infrastructure planning.

Christine received her Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from the University of Sydney.
